I was delighted to be asked by BBC 2 to help organise the Mortimer and Whitehouse Christmas special on the river Tees. This is the first time they have done a one hour special. Along with the Tees, they also visited the beautiful Yorkshire Esk (one of our rivers) and Staithes for a boat trip. The episode portrays a lovely story that suits Paul and Bob's gentle and innocent approach to fishing. To me, the Tees has always been a very easy river to promote and Paul and Bob were bowled over by its beauty. It was a fantastic experience to be part of and I admired the honesty of the filming and the very natural relationship Paul and Bob have. A huge thank you on my behalf to Barnard Castle Fly Fishers, Eggleston Hall Fishing Syndicate and the riparian owners who bent over backwards to support me and the Tees.

The show airs on Sunday 13th December at 8.10pm.
