Nderit Lake - Richmond

Nderit Lake near Richmond is a private members water with limited availability. This exclusive lake is well stocked with rainbow and brown trout, with bespoke platforms and benches located around the lake.

The Lake

This is a 5 acre lake available to exclusive members only. It ranges from 6ft to 12ft in depth and is stocked with rainbow and brown trout. There are fishing platforms around the lake to make casting easy. There are also plenty of benches and a small fishing hut for catch returns and somewhere to escape the rain! The lake is a haven for wildlife and invertebrates and its a very quiet place to fish. My aim is that members have a retreat that's really tranquil with great fishing, be it for a couple of hours or the whole day. If the rivers are flooded it fits the gap perfectly. I also hope the lake becomes a social venue where you can meet new friends and have plenty of fishing banter.

The lake is a brilliant dry fly venue but all other standard methods work perfectly too. The lake has great hatches of Damsels, Midge, Sedge, Hawthorn, Daddies and Mayfly.

Key Points

The lake is fully managed with the banks and grass cut all year round.

The lake will be fishable for the entire year, but with a recommend reduction in fishing for July and August as the summer temps hit their highest.

There is a stocking policy in place for the whole season.

All members will have a membership card and car window sticker which must be present at all times as the lake is monitored.

There will be protection measures in place for the lake. Net dipping in disinfectant is an absolute must upon arrival, this prevents any unwanted parasites entering the body of water.

All members are welcome to take a spectator when fishing i.e spouse, when fishing. Guest fishing tickets are available per day. No more than 3 guest tickets per year.

I will reserve the right to close fishing to all members for corporate work.
