We are delighted to announce a fly fishing opportunity! The Cod and Bedale Beck is a fly fishing syndicate of Fly Fishing Yorkshire and is conveniently situated just outside Thirsk and Crakehall. There is a 2 mile section of the Cod Beck and a 1 km section of the Bedale Beck. The access is suitable for all ages, but the bulk of the fishing is wild trout fishing, and extremely private. The parking is very easy and good access to the waters. The wading and is very good.

These becks are hidden gems, with true wild brown trout and a good head of grayling with no stocking in both waters. We constantly work through the river, enhancing it by focussing on tree management and habitat restoration.

The movement of water is perfect, gentle flows, runs and riffles, very typical for lowland becks. Fly hatches are brilliant, accompanied by free rising fish.

We only allow only a small group of members to join as our aim is to remain exclusive and private. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to become a member of this syndicate.
